Sean has worked as an Associate Clinical Mental Health Counselor in the state of Utah since he graduated from the University of Utah in 2016 with his Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. Previously, he graduated from Occidental College in Los Angeles in 2013 with his B.A. in Psychology. Sean has focused on multiple areas in his practice, with a strong emphasis in the areas of emotional/ psychological/ spiritual trauma, and LGBTQ issues. He is trained in EMDR trauma therapy and is competent in individual, couples, and family work with clients ranging in age from preschoolers to adults in their 70’s and 80’s. His ultimate goal as a therapist is to unconditionally accept clients wherever they are on their personal life journey, and to focus on achieving goals that the client sets for themselves.
I am trained in EMDR, attachment based theory, Mindfulness, Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Solution Focused Therapy, working with trauma, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Family and Couples counseling, and positive psychology. I have a passion for working with trauma, and experience with Individual, Family and Couples counseling, and I believe in positive psychology.
