I love what I do! I am a client centered therapist and believe there is no one perfect way to do therapy that fits for every person. Each client is unique and you are the expert in you. I view my job as assisting or helping to guide you through the healing process and giving you a safe place to feel your emotions and be yourself free of judgment. Regardless of whether there has been trauma or not, we have all been affected by the experiences of our lives and most of us will feel the pangs of them at some point. I believe in a holistic approach to healing that includes more than just talking about “problems”, but also looking at our strengths and hopes. I am trained in EMDR, CBT, mindfulness, positive psychology, DBT, and other forms of therapy to help treat the whole person and heal our emotional wounds that we struggle to make logical sense out of. I also have experience working with substance abuse, life transitions, and couples. The most important thing is what you want to change, or how you want to grow, and I am dedicated to trying to help clients make the progress they want in their lives.
